Meet Brad Samuels
Division Manager
My name is Brad Samuels, and I am the founder of Colour Craft Painting. I was born and raised in Richmond, BC, and I studied finance and marketing at the University of Northern British Columbia. In my early twenties, I developed an interest in business and home services.
During my first year of university, I was recruited by a franchise painting company. My experience with running a franchise painting division allowed me to develop core fundamental business skills and invaluable hands-on customer service experience. I proceeded to manage teams and paint 100’s of houses for the next 10 years.
What I have learned is that service is about how people feel throughout the whole process. It’s not just an end product. Having a brand you enjoy is a part of that experience.
Meet Jared Lim
Franchise Owner
My name is Jared Lim, and I am the franchise owner of Colour Craft Painting serving Richmond and Delta. I was born and raised in Richmond, BC, and have been building and leading service-based businesses for over a decade.
I began my career in the painting industry in 2012 as a College Pro Painters franchise owner. In my early twenties, I built one of the top-performing franchises in the company’s 45-year history, completing hundreds of painting projects and developing a strong foundation in customer service, project execution, and day-to-day operations.
After several years leading sales teams and working as a business coach supporting entrepreneurs, I returned to the painting industry with Colour Craft, bringing together my background in the painting industry and my experience building well-run businesses. My focus is delivering a great experience on every project, with clear communication, organized job sites, and a high standard of work from start to finish.
Meet GianCarlo Lies
Franchise Owner, U.S. Franchise Development
My name is GianCarlo Lies, and I am the franchise owner of Colour Craft Painting in Philadelphia. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, studied Finance & Supply Chain Management at the University of Pittsburgh, and grew up in an Italian immigrant family with deep small business roots in food & construction across multiple generations.
I have spent nearly a decade completing ~700 projects, ranging from small paint projects to full residential & commercial renovations and additions. I also spent several years as a consultant at Deloitte, supporting state governments on upgrades to the systems used to administer Medicaid, Medicare, and SNAP, and trained thousands of staff on policy & technology changes across dozens of state agencies.
What I have learned is that the experience matters as much as the result. Clients want to feel heard, understood, and confident that the team they hired will follow through. We focus on long-term relationships, not quick transactions, and genuinely care about everyone involved in the process. That same philosophy extends to the team we build, creating an environment where people can grow, achieve their goals, and take pride in the work they deliver.

Hello, my name is Emerson. I was born on the unceded lands of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation, also known as North Vancouver.
After studying Commerce at Dalhousie University, I have nearly a decade of experience in the painting and home services industry. This comes with successful partnership, management, and community-building experience based on trust, safety, professionalism, and satisfaction. From my values, I am passionate about creating relationships that drive a win-win experience, merging your needs with our professional standards.
Guiding me from a young age is my grandfather’s legacy, which he exemplified: ” Long after your work is done, the emotional experience will continue to live on.”
