The Project

This Steveston job was deck staining only. The backyard deck, about 350 square feet, went back on in the same grey it had before, so the before and after photos show a faded deck brought back rather than a new colour.

The deck was sanded first, then took one coat of Sherwin-Williams SuperDeck semi-transparent stain in Grey Pine SW 3560. Jordan asked whether a separate water-resistant coat should go on top. SuperDeck already has water resistance built in, and another product over it would add nothing and would likely make the deck more slippery, so the stain went on by itself.
