The Project

This Steveston home had its log siding re-stained along with painting the fascia boards, trim, window frames and door frames. The doors themselves were not painted as part of this project.

The log siding on both the house and the shed received one coat of Sico ProLuxe SRD RE, an oil-based penetrating stain. The fascia boards, trim, window frames and door frames on the front, left and right were finished in Sherwin-Williams Emerald, the rear trim in Duration, and the shed trim in SuperPaint, all in two coats.

The project took 4 to 5 days to complete. The crew powerwashed the surfaces ahead of time and returned to sand and stain the log siding and repaint the trim.

“Great experience working with Colour Craft Painting from beginning to end. We needed to have our entire house re-stained (log-siding) and the trims re-painted. Jared came by to do an initial assessment and provide a quote. This process was very thorough and we were given a step-by-step breakdown of how the project would proceed. After being entered into their schedule, we met with Jared and Mike to review the project in finer detail. A week before the staining and painting were to begin, Mike came by to do a powerwash. A week later, Mike and Radan came to sand and stain the log-siding, and to re-paint the trim. They were very efficient, and did a great job! The house looks wonderful. Throughout the process, Colour Craft (i.e., Jared, Mike and Radan): (a) kept us informed about the scheduling and progress -- communication was great; (b) were always on-time; (c) did wonderful work; and (d) went that extra step to make sure we were happy with the result -- and showed that they cared. Highly recommend this team (5 times over)!!”
