The Project

This Arbour Woods home in Squamish had all of the exterior wood sanded back to bare wood and re-stained. The wood had weathered unevenly, so the whole exterior needed to come down to bare wood before a new finish could go on.

The wood received Sikkens Cetol 1, a semi-transparent stain, applied to restore an even, uniform appearance across the whole exterior. Sanding down to bare wood was required everywhere to get a consistent surface for the new coats.

Getting the wood uniform meant extensive sanding across the entire exterior before staining, which made this a more involved job than a straightforward re-coat. The project took two weeks to complete.
