The Project

This Whistler home had its wood siding on the front and right side stained, along with 8 posts, 2 beams and the front door. The rear upper fascia was also painted. Dormer supports were not included in the work.

The siding, posts, beams and front door were finished in Sico ProLuxe SRD RE, an oil based stain, in Cedar 077 on the siding and Natural Oak on the posts and beam. The rear upper fascia was painted with Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint Exterior Acrylic Latex in a satin sheen, colour-matched in store.

Full sanding was carried out on the siding, posts and front door to remove old product and reach a smooth, even surface before staining, which the crew found difficult to get consistent across all the wood. The project was completed over 7 days.
