The Project

This Tsawwassen home had its wood siding and stucco siding repainted, along with the fascia boards, including the rear deck fascia, the posts, the front door and one side door with their frames, and six window shutters. The soffits, railings, wood guardrail panels, small fascia boards behind the gutters, unpainted posts and beam, and the stone siding were not painted.

The wood siding and posts are Quasar 6020-73 in Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint, satin, and the stucco is SuperPaint flat. The fascia boards and door frames are Extra White SW 7006 in SuperPaint satin, and the two doors are Extra White SW 7006 in Emerald Urethane, satin. Every surface got two coats, the shutters included.

The house went from brown to a dark blue, which is a big colour change. The scope grew in stages. The homeowners chose the stucco as an option when they booked, added the front door, the side door and their frames before work started, and added the six window shutters later.

The homeowners booked early in the year and wanted the house painted in September. The weather didn't always cooperate that month, so the crew painted only when conditions were right for the paint, even when that meant waiting.
