The Project

This strata building in downtown Squamish needed the concrete walls on its first two storeys stripped of embedded vines and old, failing paint before being recoated. The areas behind the metal grates were left out of the work.

Crews pressure washed the concrete, then sanded and scraped away large sections where the previous coating had lost adhesion and was lifting off the wall. The prepared concrete was recoated with two coats of Sherwin-Williams Loxon XP Waterproofing Masonry Coating.

A boom lift was used around the building to reach hard spots behind trees and vines. The work was completed over two weeks.
